Ombre brows
Are you ready to say goodbye to the hassle of daily brow makeup routines?
Imagine waking up with flawlessly defined brows every morning - that's the magic of Ombre brows!
With Ombre brows, tiny pixels are tattooed into your skin, resulting in a beautifully soft and natural finish with light fronts.
Whether you're looking to enhance symmetry, fill in sparse areas, or achieve that full-brow look, cosmetic tattooing has got you covered.
What are ombre brows?
Ombre brows are a semi-permanent (more permanent) eyebrow technique designed to create a soft, gradient effect, blending from a darker shade at the tail to a lighter shade at the front.
This technique is performed using a fine needle that deposits pigment into the skin, creating a powdered, airbrushed look. The process involves precise shading to mimic the natural appearance of fuller, well-defined brows.
Unlike traditional tattooing, ombre brows offer a more subtle, soft finish, which can be customised to suit individual preferences. Ideal for those looking for low-maintenance, beautifully shaped brows, this technique is perfect for adding depth and definition while maintaining a natural look.

Here are some examples of what to expect immediately after your treatment. As shown, the brows may appear darker and slightly swollen. There's no need to be concerned about the darkness, as the colour will soften significantly as they heal, as you can see in the photos below.

Here, you can see a comparison of the brows right after the treatment and once they’ve fully healed after 1 session (touchup still needed)

As you can tell, they’ve softened to a lighter, more natural look, which is exactly the effect we aim for.

How long do they last?
Ombre brows can last anywhere from 8 months to 4 years or longer before needing a touch-up. Over time, you may need a touch-up for colour correction or to address any light patches that may develop.
How much is the treatment?
Your first appointment is valued at $899, with a recommended touch-up 6-12 weeks later priced at $150. Depending on your skin type and healing process, additional touch-ups may be required.

What about future appointments?
Annual touch-ups can be booked online as needed to maintain your brows.

How long will the appointment take?
Please give yourself 3.5-4 hours so I am not rushed.
Does the treatment hurt?
The majority of my clients find the treatment slightly uncomfortable but nothing unbearable. A link to purchase the numbing cream will be supplied once the appointment is booked.
Important information
It’s important to understand that Ombre brows will appear more like a tint rather than makeup, as the pigment is applied beneath the skin, not on top. This technique produces a softer, more natural result. If you're seeking very dark brows, keep in mind that the outcome may vary based on your skin type. We aim to avoid over-saturating the skin to ensure long-lasting, beautiful brows that age well. Darker, more saturated brows may require removal if they don’t age as desired, so please be mindful of this when choosing the look you want.

Brow shape
Symmetry is a priority in my work, and while I’m skilled at shaping, I focus on enhancing your natural brow shape rather than drastically changing it. If you're considering a dramatic transformation, please send photos through my Instagram (@shapedbyalycia) for a consultation before booking.
Significant changes to your brow shape may not be possible without removing large portions of your natural brow, which is not my approach.

Preparing for your appointment and Aftercare
Understanding pre and post care is crucial to ensure the best results. Please dedicate two weeks to properly care for your new brow tattoo and avoid scheduling appointments before any holidays.

Please wash your hair the night before
Please exfoliate and moisturise your eyebrows very lightly, every second day starting a week before your appointment.

Healing process

(DAY 1)
The brows will appear dark, bold, and thick. Brows are always darker and slightly larger in size initially due to ink freshly being implanted and swelling (the brows shrink and lighten once healed). If the brows are perfect in colour and shape, they may heal too light after the healing.
(DAY 2-5)
The brows will continue to darken even more, and it will appear as if there’s a thick layer on top. This is normal because the brows are considered an open wound in the first 24-48 hours. Lymph fluid will begin to excrete from the wound to try to remove any foreign bodies, and then, in the next couple of days, a scab will start to form. This is similar to when your body has a wound, and a dark and thick scab begins to form on top as part of the healing process. Itchiness can be expected as a side effect of the scab formation.
(DAY 5-14)
That thin crust/scab that has been forming will begin to crack and dissolve. Pieces will start to fall off naturally. Please allow the scabs to fall off themselves, and do not pick, pull, or tug at them. Everyone heals at different rates. A longer healing process may be due to the immune system being compromised because of stress, poor nutrition, age, etc. More mature clients usually take longer to complete the healing. For every decade after 40, you can generally add a week to the healing process.
(DAY 14)
The scabs should almost be done falling off if they haven’t completely fallen off yet. Once the scabs are lifted, the brows' colour will be lighter than what it will be once the 6-week healing process is completed. This is because a layer of dead skin still exists on top. The brows are also expected to be patchy, especially with just one session.
(DAY 28)
The true shape and colour of the brows should begin to reveal. At this point, the layer of dead skin should have shed entirely off, and the epidermis layer should have completely regenerated and regained its initial thickness. The brows should be completely healed at this point.
